This handout will help you to use an approach called Anxiety Control Training (ACT) which can be used even if life is very busy. It was designed by Dr Philip Snaith to enable people to learn control over tension. We’ve changed the content to help people relax both their bodies and minds. The approach will work best if you are prepared to work at it steadily and regularly over several weeks.
